POST CON WRAP-UP
Success!!!
We have to say that the first ever appearance of the FRIGHTSHOW CLASSICS line at a gaming convention was a success!!!
We had some modest goals for our debut convention: get some more eyes and attention on the wonderful adventure line, try to help breathe a little life into the classic gothic horror roleplaying genre, gain some new fans, learn some lessons to apply to future convention appearances, and of course to sell some product. We have to say that we achieved at least some success on all of these goals.
We feel that NTRPG was a wise choice for our debut convention. It has been awhile since we were at this convention (always before as players), but we found that it still remains true to the same spirit that attracted us before. It is a smaller, more intimate con with a solid focus on classic, old school roleplaying games. It also has always featured a host of special guests, including publishers, writers, game designers, and artists. Some truly memorable moments of the con for us was seeing the reactions to the line of adventures from a few of the designers that have been in the hobby since the early days. A few of them even picked up some of the adventures! Now on to the pictures…
Buc-ee’s is pretty savage for this, lol. We definitely failed our surprise check and rolled straight into initiative. Welcome to the con!
Our table set up for the second day of the convention. We tinkered with our set up at least a little bit every day; we definitely learned a few things for next time!
A close up of the “Fright Master’s Screen with Introductory Rules”, the back of the “Player Reference Card”, and one of the remaining “Character Card Decks”. Look for an announcement on these products this weekend!
It’s always a fun time at the North Texas Roleplaying Game Convention. We can’t wait until next year!
Have any suggestions for future conventions we should consider attending? Please let us know!

Fantastic! So good to hear you had a successful convention! Love seeing the line out and about, and hearing about such a positive reaction :-)
